Once settled in your luxury rooms we will meet for drinks and an initial bike and camera briefing where you will receive your full itinerary, maps and camera equipment. Dinner on the first evening will be in The Dar Tamsna Riad in Marrakech. Return to the villa for the night.

9th Nov.

After breakfast we will prepare the bikes and begin with a relaxed guided orientation ride around the local area and an initial photo session to get your eye in. Again in the evening you will dine in Marrakech or at the villa.

10th Nov.

Ride to over the Tich n Tika pass through The High Atlas mountains to Kasbah La Tizzaourine in Boumalne where the South of Morocco starts to open out onto the plains that flow into the desert. There will be many chances to photograph the dramatic landscape around you. Your arrival is timed to leave plenty of time to unwind and then begin editing your first days shots before dinner overlooking the Dades Valley. There will also be time today to explore further afield on the dirt bikes.

11th Nov.

Today's ride out is to Todra Gorge, Tineghir, a massive fissure in the mountains that run along the Dades valley. A morning of camera work and lunch in a superb French/ Moroccan restaurant in Tineghir and then back to La Tizzarourine for the afternoon and the editing workshop. Dinner in the restaurant at La Tizzaourine. We have the option today to ride the trail that connects the Dades and Todra Gorges.

12th Nov.

Hit the road again in the early light and ride to Ait Benhaddou. This is about as ancient as it can be with the whole area constructed in the traditional method of mud bricks. The backdrop to many film sets, it is a beautiful and timeless landscape. We lunch The Hotel Dar Mouna and take the rest of the day to explore further and carry out more editing. For dirt riders the ride up the river is unmissable. We dine in the hotels restaurant this evening.

13th Nov.

The second part of the workshop week is spent higher in the mountains with an altogether different set of backdrops. Ride to Asni and the country retreat, La Bergerie. Lunch on the way on the Tich n Tika pass for a late afternoon arrival. In a valley in the mountains there are wonderful trails to explore. A shorter editing session and dinner in the superb restaurant here.

14th Nov.

Photographic morning ride out to the Tizi n Test pass and back, taking in the 5th Century ruined mosque and the view off the sudden end of The High Atlas Mountains to the plains stretched out below. A picnic lunch and a winding and breathtaking mountain ride back to La Bergerie. Late afternoon editing workshop. Dinner at Chez Momo close by.

15th Nov.

Off road exploration up to Morocco's main Ski resort right at the top of the mountains. Another fine lunch at Restaurant D Atlas before a more sedate ride back to Marrakech and the villa Dar Tamsna. We then leave our bikes and take a moment for a final edit before the culmination of the workshop and the slideshow presentation of the combined efforts of the group. A farewell dinner and awards ceremony to round off a productive and highly enjoyable week.

16th Nov.

After breakfast leave for the airport for the return flight home.

Additional Information about your trip.

Q. What does this adventure include?

A. We cover just about everything other than your flight to Marrakech. All accommodation will be covered for the duration of the trip. All meals are provided. We will supply a motorcycle for you to cover the route on. We have mechanical assistance to follow the group throughout the tour and paramedic support.

Q. What is the weather like?

A. Morocco is North Africa and whilst incredibly hot in the summer it is quite pleasant in November and May. Dry, warm and sunny most of the time. It may rain very occasionally and the higher we climb into the mountain the chillier it gets. Wind chill can be significant at altitude.

Q. What is the accommodation like?

A. Almost always luxury accommodation and a night or two in more traditional accommodation which is of a very good standard.

Q. What bikes will we be riding?

A. We will use BMW GS650 machines and the off road option is Suzuki DRZ400 enduro motorbikes.

Q. What are the roads like?

A. The route is mainly on tarmac of varying quality. We have the option explore many tracks but nowhere really difficult.

Q. Do I need a license?

A. Yes. A full UK or European bike license is required. Please bring the paper part as well as this is sometimes asked for.

Q. Do I need a helmet.?

A. Yes.

Q. What bike gear should I bring?

A. For the bike we recommend protective clothing with armour. We will be riding in an environment that changes from hot to cold in the same day so layers that can be taken on and off with insert able or attachable armour are better than leathers. Kevlar lined clothes with motocross armour offers good flexibility We recommend Draggin Jeans. Also proper off road boots that support the ankle and protect the calves and shins. You will also need waterproofs as it can rain. These are just recommendations. The point is the better protected you are the safer you are.

Q. Do I need luggage for the bike?

A. No. We will transport all your luggage along the route. A small backpack for personal items for the day is all you need.

Q. What other clothing should I bring?

A. Mainly spring/ summer clothes with some warm clothing for the odd chilly day/ night. One smart set of clothes and then T shirts and jeans is not a bad start. Please bear in mind though that space is not unlimited when we transport your bags along the route.

Q. Do I need a jab?

A. Yes. Please consult your GP to get the best medical advice. We require that all tour riders have medical insurance with the facility to fly you home if the worst happens. Having said that many Moroccan hospitals have better expertise than the UK.

Q. Can I drink the water?

A. Not recommended, a policy of bottled water only is good. It is available everywhere.

Q. What is the food like?

A. Good. They eat a lot of meat and vegetarians can feast here comfortably as well. If you are eating veg or salad make sure it is cooked or peeled. Where food has been rinsed there is no guarantee of clean water so be sensible. Whenever you see a lot of people eating in a cafe or restaurant it usually means the food is good and clean as locals shun bad eateries.

Q. Do they speak English.?

A. In the cities some people will, especially in hotels. French is the main language. All of the organisers and team leaders can communicate in French so you shouldn't be left unable to ask for what you want.

Q. Do I need a visa?

A. You can visit for up to 90 days from the UK without a visa. Please check with your embassy for other countries

Q. What is the currency?

A. Moroccan Dirhams. There are lots of banks and cash points but it is useful to bring a bit of cash (€ or us$ ) as we will be on the road during banking hours.

Q. Will my mobile phone work there?

A. Yes if you have roaming activated but getting a line is not always guaranteed.
